Mount Taranaki und New Plymouth

Einer der schönsten Berge auf der Nordhalbinsel Neuseelands ist der Mount Taranaki.
Auch ich habe ein Wochenende in New Plymouth verbracht und eine Wanderung auf dem Mount Taranaki gemacht und wollte Euch auf meinem Blog von unserem Wochenende berichten. Mein Neuseeland-Aufenthalt ist nun zwar schon wieder länger her aber besser als nie oder nicht?

Da ich ein Wochenende zuvor erst das 8 Stündige Tongariro Crossing gemacht habe, haben wir keine große Wanderung gemacht und sind daher „nur“ zu einer Skipiste und Hütten gewandert. Viele machen hier auch eine große Tageswanderung wobei man ebenfalls einen tollen See sehen kann.
Wir hatten von dem Platz mit der Ski Piste aus auch eine tolle Aussicht und auch wenn wir keine große Wanderung gemacht haben war es wirklich ein super Tag und es hat sich definitiv gelohnt einen Wochenendtrip in dieser Gegend zu machen!

New Plymouth:

Noch am selben Tag fuhren in die Stadt New Plymouth und verbrachten hier unseren Nachmittag.
Zuerst gingen wir in einem Koreanischen Restaurant essen, stellten uns danach unser eigenes Frozen Yoghurt Eis zusammen und setzten uns ans Meer.
Die Stadt an sich ist nicht sehr groß und leider auch nicht besonders hübsch. Es gab eine wunderschöne Kirche und man kann einen schönen Spaziergang entlang des Meers machen.
